Ecology is an interdisciplinary field of biology pertaining to the study of abundance of life and also the interactions of living organisms and the environment in general. The overall environment of the living organism includes physical ones such as climate, geology, sunlight which are abiotic factors. There are also biotic factors which include the other organisms sharing the same environment. Ecology is a loosely based term to describe natural environment or environmentalism. Evolution is the fundamental concept that all living things change and adapt to their environment with time. Accordingly, this biological concept also concludes that all organisms have common origins from which they have evolved with time. The basic theory of evolution was theorized by Charles Darwin which characterized the processes of natural, artificial and selective breeding. In the modern advancements in this theory, genetic alterations are recognized as additional evolutionary developments.
Ecology and evolution research papers are mainly written in CSE/CBE Style. Term papers written on ecology and evolution mainly focus upon the detailed descriptions of phylogeny. The various techniques applied in biological sciences strive to give explanation of phylogeny. Related techniques and methods include cladistic, phylogenetics, phenetics and comparisons of genetic sequences within the subfields of genomics and molecular biology. Research and assessments of the evolutionary relationships between fossils and associated organisms is termed as paleontology. It would be untrue to state that evolution only furthers complex organism, for instance, the process of dysgenics - the degeneration in the types of offspring produced- has been observed within human beings. |
